PASS Updates: July 22

We’re trying to give a regular recap of what’s going on with PASS!

COVID-19 Rising Cases

PASS staff and board are actively monitoring and assessing the risk of the rising rates of the Delta variant and other COVID-19 infections across the United States, including Los Angeles and Las Vegas. We encourage everyone to be as cautious as possible.

Vaccination remains an important way to protect yourself from serious illness if you do manage to catch the virus, and we encourage everyone who has not been vaccinated to do so as they are able.

We will update you as we know more.

PASS Lab + Community Center

Last week we announced a project to build our own, industry-specific clinical laboratory and community center. The laboratory would be able to process results for people nationally - meaning folks anywhere in the country could have access to the PASS testing protocol. Our goal is to create something specific to our industry and worthy of the title of porn stars, reducing costs and turnaround times and increasing reliability.

The community center would be based in Los Angeles and would prefer services and space for folks in the sex industries. Our vision is to have a space for community groups to meet and organize, to host industry events, and to provide direct services - like health care or tax preparation clinics. We’re already currently in conversation with another local nonprofit to provide primary health care services.

Last week we made some substantial commitments to make this possible, but we still need your help. If you’re interested in supporting these projects or PASS in general, please consider donating.

PASS Advisory Committee

PASS is recruiting for our advisory committee, where we discuss and help set health and safety policies for the adult industry. We are just in the beginning phases of the project, but want to hear from you! If you are interested in being a part, please email ian@passcertified.org.

In Community,
