Seeking Medical Advisory Committee Members

PASS is in the process of reimagining our medical advisory committee, made up of public and sexual health practitioners and researchers, and we are actively seeking new members.

About PASS

PASS is a non-profit organization dedicated to the health and safety of adult industry workers. We are responsible for the creation of industry health and safety standards and the operation of a digital clearinghouse for work availability data.

About the Position

This is a volunteer position. The committee is responsible for the following scope of work:

  • Two virtual meetings a year to review and update PASS policies and procedures. This will primarily focus on STIs and other infectious disease work clearance, however, it may include additional population health needs as they are identified.

  • Ad hoc consultation on non-routine population health concerns, including novel or emergent threats (e.g. COVID-19, Mpox, Mycoplasma genitalia).

We anticipate an average time commitment of less than an hour per week on average, though there may be increased involvement clustered during the biannual meetings and during crisis response consultations.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in a relevant field (infectious disease, clinical diagnostics, occupational health, etc.) We are particularly interested in people with experience in epidemiology, social determinants of health, and health informatics.

  • Experience working with marginalized populations.

  • Willingness to participate in consensus decision-making.

  • Willingness to be publicly affiliated with the adult industry.

To Apply

Please send your CV or resume along with any questions you may have to ian@passcertified.org (a link to your LinkedIn page, personal website, or equivalent is perfectly fine).

People of color, people with disabilities, trans people, and current or former sex workers are strongly encouraged to apply.
